Wilmington College Baseball | 2025 Season Recap & 2026 Preview
2025 Season at a Glance
The Wilmington College Quakers baseball team competed in the competitive Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) in 2025, finishing 12-24 overall and 3-14 in conference play, tying for ninth place in the OAC standings.
Though the record didn’t reflect a championship run, the Quakers showed grit and growth throughout the year. Wilmington had notable victories, including a rainy Senior Day win at Otterbein University, where they out-hit their opponent 15-10 in a key conference matchup late in the season.

On the individual level, J.C. Calhoun and Dominic Depa earned 2025 All-OAC honors (Honorable Mention) — a testament to their standout performances. Calhoun led the team with a .322 batting average and 39 hits. Depa contributed power with a team-leading three home runs and 14 doubles (tied for third in the OAC), along with a .496 slugging percentage.
While wins were hard to come by in conference play, the Quakers competed tough against top OAC foes, including strong teams like Mount Union and Marietta, and showed encouraging progress from previous seasons.

Meet the 2026 Quaker Roster
Looking ahead to 2026, Wilmington returns a mix of experienced leaders and exciting young talent. Seniors like Caleb Fugate (INF), Kyle Jennings (3B), and J.C. Calhoun (OF) provide veteran presence and offensive stability. Graduate standout Dominic Depa brings speed, power, and versatility across the infield.
Pitching depth returns with arms like Bobby Fleming (RHP/OF) and Nathan Powers (RHP), while newcomers and underclassmen like Zane Matthews (OF/P) and Jacob Day (RHP) will look to make an immediate impact. Freshmen Jake Stephens, Carter Young, and Ethan Swett add even more depth and future promise to the pitching staff and lineup.
This blend of upperclassmen leadership and incoming talent sets the stage for a competitive 2026 campaign in the OAC, with hopes to improve conference standing and build on the lessons learned from 2025.
